Davey O'Brien

Davey O'Brien (born June 22, 1917 in Dallas, Texas; died November 18, 1978) was a former National Football League quarterback with the Philadelphia Eagles. In 1938, O'Brien won the prestigious Heisman Trophy, while playing for Texas Christian University. O'Brien was named to thirteen All-American teams and became the only college football player to win the Heisman, Maxwell, and Walter Camp trophies in the same year. The Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award is named for him.
