David Davis, born November 6, 1959, is a Tennessee politician and the member of the Tennessee House of Representatives representing the 6th district, which is composed of parts of Washington County and Hawkins County. He was first elected to the 101st General Assembly as a member of the Republican Party. He is a member of the Transportation Committee, the Government Operations Committee, and the Public Safety and Rural Roads Subcommittee. He is also a delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business.
David Davis obtained a certificaton in respiratory therapy from East Tennessee State University in 1979 and received an A.A.S. in respiratory therapy from California College in 1983. In 1991 he received a B.S. in Organizational Management from Milligan College. He is currently President of Shared Health Services, Inc. David Davis is a candidate in the 2006 U.S. House elections to replace the retiring Bill Jenkins, who represents the 1st Congressional District of Tennessee.
