Davidson Rural Fire Brigade

The Davidson Rural fire Brigade is a Brigade member of the New South Wales Rural Fire Service and was officially started on the 18th September, 1965 under the title 'Forestville Bush Fire Brigade' with Ted Milham as captain.
From August 1976 onward, the Brigade was renamed the Davidson Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade and then in 1997 was renamed again (following the Rural Fires Act) to the Davidson Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade.
Current information
At present, the brigade contains 107 members, of whom 75 are considered active. The brigade operates under the administration of the Warringah/Pittwater Rural Fire district.Equipment
The brigade, at present, is in possession of 2 fire fighting units as well as a personel carrier.The heaviest vehicle that is under possession by the brigade is known as 'Davidson 1', and is a category 1 (CAT1) tanker. It is within the 'heavy appliance' category, capable of holding 3300 litres of water.
The brigade also has a secondary vehicle called 'Davidson 7' which is a CAT7 as well as a personel carrier (Davidon PC) capable of carrying up to 10 individuals including driver.
