Dawes Cycles USA imports bicycles from Taiwan and China, manufactured to their specifications, and has no relationship to the bicycle manufacturer of the same name from the 1970's. It is believed to be one of several "house" brands that the Cycle Spectrum and BikesDirect chain puts on their imported bikes.
Other "house" brands from this group include Motobecane USA, Windsor Bicycles USA, and Mercier Cycles.
