Def, Dumb and Blonde was when Debbie Harry became Deborah Harry, and has stayed ever since. This was her third solo album, and was produced by herself, ex lover and Blondie guitarist Chris Stein and Mike Chapman, who had previously produced the last 5 Blondie albums. This album contained her biggest hit to date, I Want That Man, which made the top 20 in 1989 and has become a big gay anthem, along with singles Brite Side, Sweet And Low and Maybe For Sure, although, the two latter songs had made little impact on the UK charts, both only managing to scrape in to the top 60. This was Deborah's second most successful album, behind Koo Koo, reaching number 12 in October 1989, and staying in the charts for seven weeks. This was also the first Deborah Harry album to be released on 12" vinyl and C.D. The songs highlighted underneath were only available on the C.D.
