Delaware North Companies is one of the largest privately held companies in the world, operating in the food service, retail and hospitality industries in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. It currently has over 30,000 employees worldwide. The name "Delaware North" comes from a mansion on Delaware Avenue and North Street in Buffalo, New York, chosen in 1979 by it's CEO Jeremy Jacobs.
One of many divisions in the company is the Sportservice Corporation (previously Emprise Co.), which provides food and beverage service in numerous sports venues that are home to teams in Major League Baseball, the National Football League, the National Hockey League, the National Basketball Association, and minor league baseball. Serviced locations include The Ballpark in Arlington, Arlington, Texas; Miller Park, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; the new Busch Stadium, St. Louis, Missouri; Nationwide Arena, Columbus, Ohio; and the Atlantic City Convention Center, Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Delaware North is headquartered in Buffalo, New York.
