Delta Force 2 is a first-person shooter-style video game. It is a member of the Delta Force series of games produced by Novalogic, and a sequel to Delta Force.
Delta Force 2 improved over its predecessor in graphics quality, and by improving game balance.
Gameplay
The game is in many ways more realistic than the first-person shooters of its time. Very often, one shot is fatal, although occasionally the player will survive. Damage is taken when one falls from extreme heights (albeit at a highly exaggerated level). However, no weapons, even the M249 SAW machine gun, have any recoil or spray. This allowed players to 'snipe' at medium-to-long ranges even with a heavy machinegun, when in real life it would be horribly inaccurate.Other Features
Delta Force 2 includes a map editor with most copies of the game. This allows players to create their own maps using a fairly intuitive interface. Delta Force 2 also has a large online community of players who often play online/multiplayer.Delta Force 2 uses a Voxel based rendering system unlike most other games of the same time.
