Devajyoti Ray

Devajyoti Ray is an up-and-coming Indian artist, who has been described by The Tribune of Delhi as "one of the most promising among the new generation" of Indian artists [link]. He was born in 1974 and studied economics in Presidency College, Kolkata, and later at Jawahar Lal Nehru University. Ray, who presently alternates between living in Bangalore and Calcutta, is also credited with the beginning of pseudorealism, a new style of art in India. Ray is also a writer and an officer for the Government of India.
