"Diary of a Madman" is a heavy metal song by Ozzy Osbourne released in 1981 on his Diary of a Madman album.

A classical guitar lesson that Randy Rhoads was giving awoke Ozzy. Ozzy told Randy that that's a song for him. Randy tried to tell Ozzy that it was already a classical song but Ozzy wouldn't have it and it became the opening acoustic riff for the song.
