Dias Gomes

Alfredo de Freitas Dias Gomes is a Brazilian playwright. He was born October 19, 1922 in Salvador, Bahia. He did novels along with his theater work. He was also a writer of numerous Brazilian TV shows, miniseries, and a few films. In 1950 he married the Brazilian novelist Janete Clair and in their 33 years of marriage they had three children. She died in 1983 and six years later he remarried.
He died in São Paulo in 1999 and his widow was Bernadeth Lyzio.
