The Criminal Division investigates in infractions like drugs traffics, prostitution, anti-gang, homicides (nowadays, for the most complex homicides like the ones involving serial killers). It was written before that "36 quai des Orfèvres" was the Direction Centrale de la Police Judiciaire but it's false. The Direction Centrale de la Police Judiciaire is the upper, national level (Ministry of the Interior) and is located at 11, rue des Saussaies, in Paris.
