Diwan (school)

Diwan is a federation of Breton language schools in Brittany, in the western part of France.
The first Diwan school was created in 1977 because centralized French state schools were unwilling offer Breton-language instruction in Brittany.
In 2005 over 2,200 pupils attended Diwan schools, one of them opened in Paris in September 2004.
