Dniepr Balts (part of Eastern Balts) - the Baltic tribes used to live near Dnieper River in the Bronze Age and later, still were assimilated by Slavs.

Dniepr Balts were studied by the world famous archaeologist Marija Gimbutas, known Lithuanian linguist K.Buga, and by Russian scientists V.Toporov, O.Trubachev, who developed some ideas of K.Buga about the baltic origin of hydronyms at Dnieper basin.
