Dodge County is a county located in the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of the 2004 census estimates, the population is 19,355. Its county seat is Mantorville6.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,139 km² (440 mi²). 1,138 km² (440 mi²) of it is land and 0 km² (0 mi²) of it (0.03%) is water.Lakes

Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there were 17,731 people, 6,420 households, and 4,853 families residing in the county. The population density was 16/km² (40/mi²). There were 6,642 housing units at an average density of 6/km² (15/mi²). The racial makeup of the county was 96.58% White, 0.20% Black or African American, 0.17% Native American, 0.41% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 1.89% from other races, and 0.73% from two or more races. 2.99% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.There were 6,420 households out of which 40.70% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.70% were married couples living together, 7.20% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.40% were non-families. 20.20% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.70% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.73 and the average family size was 3.15.
In the county the population was spread out with 30.20% under the age of 18, 7.60% from 18 to 24, 29.90% from 25 to 44, 20.20% from 45 to 64, and 12.10% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 98.80 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.90 males.
The median income for a household in the county was $47,437, and the median income for a family was $54,261. Males had a median income of $34,195 versus $25,903 for females. The per capita income for the county was $19,259. About 4.40% of families and 5.80% of the population were below the poverty line, including 5.80% of those under age 18 and 9.60% of those age 65 or over.
