Dominique Derval AKA Domino is a fictional character in the James Bond film Thunderball and its novelization. She is played by Claudine Auger.
Domino is first seen when Bond travels to Nassau to see if he can find out any information about her brother, Major François Derval.
After making contact, Bond invites Domino to lunch.
Domino is later seen when Bond visits a casino where he meets Emilio Largo accompanied by Domino. After winning, and a brief dance with Domino, Bond is invited to Largo's private estate for dinner.
After attending the Junkanoo with Bond, Domino is later seen when they meet underwater wearing scuba gear for some lovemaking, Bahamas style. Bond tells Domino to check the Disco Volante for the bombs, but she gets caught by Largo, who then tortures her for betraying him.
Domino is last seen at the end of Thunderball when she shoots Largo in the back. "I'm glad I killed him,” she tells Bond, "You're glad!" replies Bond relieved.
The film Never Say Never Again, an unofficial remake of Thunderball, features essentially the same character played by Kim Basinger. She is still called Domino (now apparently no longer a nickname), but her last name has become Petachi (a possibly intentional echo of Clara Petacci). Her adventures are very similar to those of Domino Derval, however.
