Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood is a rock) song perhaps best well known as an Animals song.

It was written by Bennie Benjamin, Gloria Caldwell and Sol Marcus, and first made popular by Nina Simone. A disco version by Santa Esmeralda also became a hit in the 1970s. This version was included on the Kill Bill Volume 1 (soundtrack) to Kill Bill. It has been recorded by countless other artists including The Moody Blues, Elvis Costello and Cyndi Lauper.
