Donnie Fowler is an American political activist who ran John Kerry's campaign in the state of Michigan, during the presidential election of 2004. He was Al Gore's national field director during the 2000 presidential campaign, managing the in-state political operations for Gore's victory over Bill Bradley for the Democratic nomination and during the popular vote victory over George W. Bush in the general election.
Fowler has also spent significant time in the technology and telecommunications sector, working at the Federal Communications Commission as an appointee of Bill Clinton and in Silicon Valley as vice president of TechNet, a policy and political network of CEOs that promotes the growth of technology and the innovation economy.
He is the son of former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Donald Fowler, and ran for the DNC Chairmanship himself in February 2005. The chairmanship went to former Vermont governor Howard Dean.
