Douglas State Forest is a Massachusetts state forest located in Douglas. The forest is managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Description

Douglas State Forest is a 5,730 acre park offering numerous recreational activities. The park is located on the border of both Connecticut and Rhode Island and frequently sees visitors from those states as well as Massachusetts.

Features of the forest include Wallum Lake and a rare Atlantic White Cedar swamp, 5 acres of which are designated as a "Massachusetts Wildland". 7.8 miles of the Midstate Trail, a 92-mile-long hiking trail running through central Massachusetts between the Rhode Island and New Hampshire borders, runs through the forest. A portion of the 22-mile-long Southern New England Trunkline Trail also runs through the park.
