Dr. Seuss Memorial

The Dr. Seuss National Memorial is a sculpture garden located at The Quadrangle in Springfield, Massachusetts, honoring the American children's author Dr. Seuss. It was designed by Lark Grey Dimond-Cates, who was the author's stepdaughter.
There are five bronze statues featured in the garden:
- "Dr. Seuss and the Cat in the Hat": The title character of Seuss' most famous work standing alongside Dr. Seuss at his desk.
- "The Storyteller": A chair placed in front of a 10-foot tall book with the text of Oh, the Places You'll Go!, the title character of Gertrude McFuzz, and the Grinch and his dog, Max.
- "Horton Court": Horton the Elephant of Horton Hears A Who fame steps out of an open book accompanied by various ancillary characters from other Dr. Seuss stories, including Thing 1 and Thing 2 from The Cat in the Hat.
- "The Lorax": The title character standing on a tree stump with the legend Unless... This statue is located in front of the Springfield Science Museum.
- A 10-foot-tall tower of turtles, honoring Yertle the Turtle.
