Draba lactea

Draba lactea (Lapland whitlow-grass or milky whitlow-grass) is a flower partly common all over the high Arctic. It stretches further south in mountainous areas of Norway and Canada.

2-5 cm. Caespitose. Flowering stem glabrous. Leaves with stellate hairs on the surface, simple hairs at the margins. Flowers pure white. Many flowers on each stem.

The Draba species are found on dry as well as moist localities. Most of the species have a circumpolar distribution, but considerable variations are met with.
