Dramatic Prakrit

Any of the three main dialects of Prakrit, used extensively in Sanskrit literature. Chief among them is Maharashtri, followed by Sauraseni and Magadhi. The Eastern Indo-Aryan languages are descended from the Dramatic Prakrits.
