The Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX) began trading in November 2005. It began trading with 50 members, on its electronic trading platform which is open 13 hours a day.

DGCX is regulated by the Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority (ESCA), which was created in the year 2000.

Products

DGCX launched trading with Gold Futures. The Gold contract equates to 1 kilogram of Gold (0.995 fineness), which if chosen is deliverable at DGCX approved vaults in the United Arab Emirates.

In the future, the DGCX plans to launch futures on Silver, Steel, Fuel Oil, Freight Rates and Cotton.
