This article is about the Swedish musician. For other uses, see E-Type (disambiguation)
E-Type (born Bo Martin Eriksson on August 27, 1965) is a Swedish Eurodance singer/rapper whose debut single Set the world on fire topped Sweden's singles chart in 1994. E-type is also the son of the Swedish Tv-man Bo G. Eriksson. A typical E-type record will include his gravelly rap alongside a powerful female vocal (for example, Nana Hedin), a formula which he doesn't appear to have changed in his long 10 year career. He released his debut album, Made In Sweden in the United States in 1996 on Ils International. The album yielded two Top 30 Hot Dance Music/Club Play hits. "Set The World on Fire" peaked at #22 and "This Is The Way" peaked at #15 on the chart. Both singles also became minor radio hits. Unfortunately, Made In Sweden was unsuccessful Stateside in the mainstream.

His latest album Loud Pipes Save Lives has proved successful in Scandinavia, and he continues to be considered one of the best artists in the genre. E-Type is also known for smash hit singles such as This Is The Way, Life, Here I go again, Angels Crying and Campione 2000. One of his earlier works dubbed Jaguar is a dancefloor classic and still sometimes is part of the encore or warmup of noted DJs. (However, at least according to [a reviewer on Amazon.com], Jaguar has not been legally licensed and its original creator, DJ Rolando, receives no royalties or even recognition for it). In 2004, E-Type participated in the Swedish "Melodifestivalen" with the song Paradise backed up by among others Mikkey Dee of Motörhead.

E-Type has since tried his hand at breaking into the U.S. market, specifically, the Club/Dance market a decade after his first Stateside album, Made In Sweden. He got a record deal with the Stateside based Club/Dance label, Airus Entertainment. His sophomore domestic release titled Euro IV Ever In America, a comibination of hits from his two previous albums, was release in mid 2006.
