eAcceleration, or eAcceleration Corp., is a Washington-based technology company that produces StopSign, a computer security suite, including anti-virus and anti-spyware software, a popup blocker, and firewall, in addition to free-with-subscription unlimited technical phone support..
eAcceleration,Veloz and Stop Sign are considered to be a scam websites all owned by eAcceleration Corp. All of their products through 2005 included adware and/or spyware. Their products like Anti-Virus and Spyware applications include many false positivies. They say the products are free but actually you have to buy them to remove the false positives that they detect. All of their products prior to 2005 are detected by Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware SE, Webroot SpySweeper and many other spyware and anti-virus applications. The company tried to clean up their products supposely removed the adware and spyware on their products 2005 and above. But it still is uncertain if their products are clean and still are not trusted by many. Their new products install very easy but are difficult to remove and uninstall. Although their new products suppose to be adware and spyware free, they still have spyware and trojan properties when it comes down to having to remove them. Their new products are very low quality compaired to the other software on the market both freewares and paid versions. They consists of very high false positives, poor detection of real viruses, malware and spyware at a very costly expense to the user. The company started TV advertisements to try to re-establish themselves as a trusted company.
