EUE Screen Gems should not be confused with Sony Entertainment's Screen Gems Pictures which was a revival of the old Screen Gems name. In 1984 Frank Capra, Jr. acquired the assets of Screen Gems from then Columbia Pictures Industries, However Columbia retained the rights to the Screen Gems name thus the EUE in front of this company's name.
