East Central German is a group of Germanic dialects:
- Upper Saxon German is a dialect spoken in the majority of the modern German Free States of Saxony.
- Thuringian is a dialect of Thuringia.
- Südmärkisch is a dialect of Berlin-Brandenburg, whose best-known form is the Berlinerisch, the dialect of Berlin. The notable feature of this dialect is that it includes both Low Saxon and High German elements.
