Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association

The Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) is an NCAA Division I collegiate wrestling conference. It has been active since 1905 and has had a variety of schools as members throughout its tenure.

Recent Success
Cornell has been the most successful of these schools recently, placing 4th at the national tournmanent in 2005. Another highly respected team in the conference has been Lehigh, as the Mountain Hawks have been a consisted top ten team in the last ten years and has featured some of the nations toughest wrestling teams. The league generally has the third-highest number of All-Americans at the NCAA championships, behind the Big Ten and Big 12. The 2005 EIWA conference tournament marked the 100th anniversary of the conference.
