Eastern Mennonite University is an accredited four-year university located in Harrisonburg, Virginia, USA.
Eastern Mennonite College was founded in 1917 as a seminary for Mennonite ministers and today is a fully accredited university with 1,600 students. In 1994, the name was changed from Eastern Mennonite College to Eastern Mennonite University (EMU), to reflect its graduate business administration and counseling programs.
EMU's sports teams are known as the Royals. Eastern Mennonite is a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
