Edward Benson "Short Fuse" Herman (born October 2 1980) is an American mixed martial arts fighter. He is from Vancouver, Washington. He is also a contestant on the third season of The Ultimate Fighter reality television show, training under Ken Shamrock. He fights in the 185 lb (84 kg) weight class. According to the show, his MMA record is 14 wins, 3 losses, while Sherdog.com lists his record as 10 wins, 3 losses. In The Ultimate Fighter, he won a preliminary victory against Danny Abaddi by armbar. In the semifinals, he defeated Rory Singer by rear naked choke. Ed lost to Kendall Grove in the finals in a close, but unanimous decision(29-28, 29-28, 29-28). Despite his loss, Ed was subsequently awarded a contract by UFC president Dana White based on his performance.
