Edo-Khel

Encyclopedia : E : ED : EDO : Edo-Khel

Edo-Khel is a Pashtun tribe whom inhabit the mountainous and vallied regions of south-eastern Afghanistan; mainly Wardak and Logar. The Edo-Khels do not number in staggering amounts--as with the majority of Pashtun tribes. Edo-Khels thrive in sparse amounts and are thus a small group of peoples. Even though Edo-Khels do not number as largely as the Durrani/Popalzai, or have not played as significant of a role in Afghan/Pashtun history, it should not imply that these tribes are any better than the Edo-Khels or place them above in the social ladder ; Edo-Khels are just as Pashtun.
