Plot
In Mouri Detective Agency, Ran questions Conan if he misses his parents. Just then, a woman name Fumiyo Edogawa came to the agency, claiming that she is Conan's mother. Fumiyo takes Conan to an apartment. Just then, Fumiyo stops the limo, and went out. Conan spies on her, and discovers that Fumiyo has teamed with the man in a mask who is a member of the Black Organization.The masked man discovers Conan, and ties him. Conan finds the masked man parks his car in no. 30. Conan finds the little no., and discovers that 301 is the meeting. He went to a room to hide, and discovers a boy who he met eariler in the parking lot thinks he is an alien. Just before the boy calls the police, Conan uses the bow tie voice exchanger to escape.
Conan was able to get to room 301 by hiding in the closet. When Fumiyo searches for Conan, the masked man finds out that Conan is using the room service as a decoy, and finds Conan in the closet. He grabs a gun, and points it at Conan's head. After the shot is given, Conan finds out that he got shot by a dart.
Just then, the masked man, the lady, and the tall man in the parking lot are laughing at Conan, and Conan questions them what is going on. The masked man unmasks himself, revealing to be Yusaku Kudo, Shinichi's dad. The lady posing as Conan's mother takes off her disguise, revealing to be Yukiko Kudo, Shinichi's mom. The man in the parking lot is revealed to be none other than Professor Agasa.
Yukiko tells Conan that the reason why she and Yusaku made a fake case for him is that by the time they went back to their residence, Shinichi isn't there. Upon learning from Agasa about Shnichi, the couple decided to excercise his detective skills to lead him to them. Yusaku also tells Conan that he ius disguised as Night Baron, the villain from his novels. The episode ends with Conan decided to go back to Mouri Detective Agency. In the plane, Yukiko suggests Yusaku to have a vacation in Hawaii. Just then, a mob of editors came to Yusaku, who finds out that Conan pulls a prank to get revenge.

Yukiko: That's right, Shin-chan. When went home, you weren't there!
Conan: And then you heard from Professor Agasa that I was drugged and turned into a kid, so you set this up?
- Conan: (angrily, to Yusaku and Yukiko) Stupid! I was in no position to think about that!
- Conan: Oh...I see, I see.
- Shinichi: (thinking to Yukiko) Shut up, mom.
- Fumiyo: (about Conan) He is just angry with me for so long, because I left him alone.
- Shinichi: (thinking) If I don't do something quick, they'll find out that I'm Shinichi Kudo.
- Kogoro: (to Fumiyo) What?! We have to take care of your son again?
- Editor # 1: There he is! It's him! Mr. Kudo! Hey, Kudo!
Yusaku: It's the publishers from overseas! How did you know I was here?
- Yukiko: (about Conan) It looks like he got you.
Yusaku: (as typing faster in the laptop) That little punk!
