Education City, Qatar

Education City is an area in Doha, Qatar, that with funding from the nonprofit Qatar Foundation, has been set aside for the establishment of branch campuses of several American universities, as well as several local educational and research organizations.
Branch campuses include:
- Virginia Commonwealth University (est. 1999) - Offers arts and communications programs
- Weill Medical College of Cornell University (est. 2001) - Offers the Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar
- Texas A&M University (est. 2003) - Offers an engineering program through Texas A&M at Qatar
- Carnegie Mellon University (est. 2004) - Offers business and computer science programs,
- Georgetown University (est. 2005) - Overseas branch of School of Foreign Service
- Qatar Science & Technology Park - Premises and services for technology-based companies and entrepreneurs
- Academic Bridge Program - University-preparation school
- Qatar Academy - A school offering the International Baccalaureate
- Qatar Diabetes Association - Serves public health and does research on Diabetes
- Social Development Center - Aims to promote income equality
