Edvard Radzinsky

Edvard Radzinsky (Russian: ) (b. September 29, 1936, Moscow). He graduated from the Moscow Historical Archive Institute. Since 1960 he wrote plays and film scenarios. Since 1990s Radzinsky has been writing the books in the series Mysteries of the History ("Загадки истории"). He is the author of a controversial biography of Stalin called Stalin: The First In-Depth Biography Based on Explosive New Documents From Russia's Secret Archives. In it he made many controversial claims, including that the USSR was planning to attack Nazi Germany first, and that Stalin was murdered because he was planning an anti-Jewish capmaign right before his death in 1953.
