Ek Hasina Thi is a taut thriller produced by Ram Gopal Varma, directed by debut filmaker Shriam Raghavan and starring Urmila Matondkar and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles.

Plot Summary

It is about a travel agent called Sarika (Urmila Matondkar) who meets and falls for a mysterious businessman Karan Rathod (Saif Ali Khan in his first negative role) and after he involves her in looking after a suitcase full of illegal firearms she is arrested for having links with terrorists and put in a brutal prison.

She soon realises that Karan is actually an associate to the underworld and she was framed by him. She escapes prison and plots revenge on Karan.
