El C.I.D. was an ITV television series that ran for three seasons from 1990 to 1992. It stared Alfred Molina as Bernard Blake, a C.I.D. officer who takes early retirement and moves to Spain where he and his partner, John Bird, a retired records officer, keep an eye on the ex-pat community of British gangsters.

Before the third season Molina left and was replaced by Amanda Redman who joined the series as Bird's characters daughter. The series also starred Kenneth Cranham as a notorious gangster who fled to Spain.

The title is a play on El Cid.
