The Electoral district of Cranbourne is an electoral district of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. It is located south-east of Melbourne and is based around the suburbs of Cranbourne, Carrum Downs and Frankston North. It was created prior to the 1992 Election.
Cranbourne is currently held by Jude Perera of the Australian Labor Party with a safe margin of 10.8%. However before the 2002 Election the seat was held by the Liberal Party, albeit with different boundaries that were more favourable to the Liberals.
Perera will recontest his seat at the 2006 election, and will be challenged by Luke Martin for the Liberal Party.
