Electrolux Laundry Systems, previously named Electrolux Wascator, is a part of the Electrolux Group. Electrolux Laundry Systems is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark and is a world leader in supplying professional laundry solutions.

History

The predecessor to Wascator was founded in 1902 as an offspring of a boiler company. The name Wascator was not used until the 1940s for its front-loaded washing machines. Today, the company has approximately 1,500 employees and three manufacturing entities in Sweden, France and Denmark.

Wascomat

In the United States, Electrolux Laundry Systems is marketed under the Wascomat tradename by its exclusive licensee, Bermil Industries Corp.. Bermil has exclusive rights to market and sell Wascomat and Electrolux branded professional laundry equipment manufactured by ELS, throughout North America to all market segments. The largest segments are coin-operated laundries an on-premise laundries.
