Elissa Steamer (born 31 July 1975 in Fort Myers, Florida) is an American professional skateboarder currently residing in San Francisco, CA.
History
Steamer began skateboarding in 1989, turning pro in 1998 when she won the women's street section at Slam City Jam 1998. She won the same section in 1999. In 2003 she was voted Female Skater of the Year by Check it Out Girls magazine.
Her sponsors are Zero Skateboards and Etnies footwear. Past sponsors have included Toy Machine, TSA Clothing, Bootleg Skateboards, and Landspeed Wheels.
Other achievements
- First female skater to have a pro model deck (since Laura Thornhill's model in the 70s by Logan Earth Ski).
- First female skater to win a contest at Slam City Jam (in 1998, when the Women's Street was introduced)
- First female pro skater in any of the Tony Hawk's... video games.
