Emile Bellet is an artist born in France in 1941. He began painting at the age of 15. He taught himself his very own unique technique and continued to paint on. He was found by Galerie Guigne in 1976, and from there his career exploded. Two years later, he was painting anything from standard lithographs to stained glass church windows. He has numerous exhibits in locations like France, Switzerland, and Japan.

He based his technique off a group of artists who lived in the early 20th century. They called themselves the "Fauvres," or savages. Bellet has mastered this technique by the use of the very delicate impasto knife, along with vivid, non-authentic colors. In many of Bellet's paintings, he includes a mysterious, but beautiful woman in often romantic settings. It is believed by many that the body language of the woman often reflects the emotion Bellet is trying to express from his own heart.
