Endomembrane System

The Endomembrane System consists of the endoplasmic reticulum (which includes the nuclear envelope) and the Golgi apparatus. It is present in all eukaryotic cells. The system consists of internal compartments in the cell which synthesize macromolecules and receive macromolecules from the outside environment.
