Coordinates: Engerdal is a municipality in the county of Hedmark, Norway. Its (widely dispersed) population amounted on 1 January 2005 to 1,499.

The municipality is bordered by Sweden to the east, Trysil to the south, Rendalen to the west, and Os and Tolga to the north.

The greater part of Lake Femunden and roughly half of the Femundsmarka National Park also lie within the boundaries of the municipality.

The residents live widely spead out.
