Epicyon

Epicyon is an extinct canid genus of the subfamily Borophaginae ("bone-crushing dogs"), native to Miocene North America. This genus contained several species of very large canids, such as Epicyon haydeni, which stood 0.95 metres at the shoulder.(Turner)
