Encyclopedia : E : ES : ESP : Espetada

The espetada (plural: espetadas) is a typical Portuguese dish made of large chunks of beef rubbed in garlic and salt, skewered onto a bay leaf stick and left to grill over smouldering wood chips. It is usually made of grilled skewered beef, pork, chouriço and vegetables (onions and bell peppers), but there are also other types like the squid made espetadas.
