Ethan Canin

Ethan Canin (born July 19, 1960) is an American author. Among his published works are two short story collections The Palace Thief, and Emperor of the Air. The title story of The Palace Thief was made into a movie called The Emperor's Club. Also by Canin are three novels, Blue River (novel), For Kings And Planets and Carry Me Across The Water. In addition to his writing, Canin is also a physician and a member of the faculty of the Iowa Writers' Workshop.
