Eton Group

The Eton Group consists of twelve well known independent schools with seven in London and the rest in southern England:
- Eton College
- Bryanston School
- Dulwich College
- Highgate School
- King's College School, Wimbledon
- The King's School, Canterbury
- Marlborough College
- St Paul's School
- Sherborne School
- Tonbridge School
- University College School, Hampstead
- Westminster School
Many of the most prestigous schools in England are thought to belong to these groups#redirect .
Heads of the academic departments meet annually in rotation to discuss curriculum matters of common interest. In 2005, the Office of Fair Trading concluded after a two year investigation that the Eton Group had operated as a fee-fixing cartel in breach of competition law. The bursar of Eton College, Andrew Wynn, was quoted as saying: “We do meet and talk about fees to get some idea of what other schools are thinking. We are a co-operative bunch and we are not out to slit each other’s throats.”
