Ettin might refer to:
- A three-headed giant in English fairy tales. In 'The Red Ettin', an Ettin of Ireland steals the daughter of King Malcolm, king of Scotland.
- The name of a 2-headed Ogre-like creature in HeXen, Stonekeep and the Ultima games. Also in the game FATE.
- A similar creature, Ettin (Dungeons & Dragons) from the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.
- A species in the game Creatures.
- Another word for Giant, related to the word Jotun from Norse Mythology. Tolkien most likely had this in mind when he described Bilbo's adventures in the wild Ettenmoors region (where he met 3 angry trolls) just north and west of Rivendell.
- In C. S. Lewis's The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe the Ettins are mentioned in passing as an evil species in league with the White Witch.
- A word used to describe the Goa'uld in the Stargate universe by Norse descendants that had been taken by a race known as the Asgard to a protected planet so that they could evolve on their own without outside interference.
- Large, muscular creatures in Guild Wars. They are about 1 1/2 times as big as a person, and carry around large clubs as weapons. They are notoriously deformed, hunched and with a distorted face.
