An eye care professional is an individual who provides a service related to the eyes or vision.

- Ocularist - fabrication and fitting of ocular prostheses for people who have lost eyes due to trauma or illness.
- Oculist - older term for either an ophthalmologist or optometrist.
- Ophthalmologist - Doctor of Medicine (MD), graduates from medical school
- Optometrist - Doctor of Optometry, graduates from optometry school, usually a four-year graduate program
