Eyjólfur Sverrisson

Eyjólfur Gjafar Sverrisson (born August 3, 1968) is a former Icelandic footballer and currently the coach of the Iceland national football team.
From 1989 to 1994 Sverrisson played for VfB Stuttgart, where he became German champion in 1992. Afterwards he changed to Hertha BSC Berlin, where he helped securing promotion to the Bundesliga in 1997 and won the German Super Cup in 2001 and 2002.
During his Bundesliga career, Sverrisson played 250 matches and scored 30 goals. He was also capped many times for Iceland.
In October 2005 he was appointed the coach of the Iceland national football team.
