F. Ray Keyser, Jr.

F. Ray Keyser (August 17, 1927- ) was born in Chelsea, Vermont In 1945 he graduated from Montpelier High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and after leaving the service, obtained an LL.B. Degree from Tufts in 1953.
He was a Page in the Vermont House in 1939, a member of the House 1955 and 1957 and Speaker of the House in 1959. He served as Vermont Governor from 1961-1963.
From 1965- 1970 Keyser was General Counsel for the Vermont Marble Company and was CEO and Chairman of the Board from 1970-1979. In 1980 he set up the law office of Keyser and Crowley. From 1967-1972 he was on the Federal Reserve board in Boston and was Director of Vermont Public Service and chair of the Board from 1980-1997.
