FOX8+2 was introduced with the Foxtel and Austar Digital Services on Channel 150. This allows the viewing of the same programs on FOX8, but 2 hours later. One of the known advantages of this TimeShift Channel, is that Western Australian viewers can see this channel at the correct time in their state as advertised.
During the migration to the digital platform, Foxtel's Fox Kids channel was discontinued and a selection of it's programming was moved to Fox8 in the mornings.
The channel rebranded significantly at the start of 2005 matching the American Fox channels logo with the addition of the 8 at the end. FOX8's overall graphics also changed in style. Shortly after the rebranding, the station received its first [official website] which is still slightly under construction.

Despite not producing much of its own programming, FOX8's shows are of a good quality by pay TV standards, while performing consistently well in the ratings.Among FOX8's originally produced programs/content are:
- CDlive (2006-, A live music show featuring local and international artists performing on stage.)
- Super Simpsons (2006, special introductions and trivia in between a 12 day Simpsons marathon.)
- Love My Way (2004-2005, Moved to W for the second season in 2006)
- Australia's Next Top Model (2005-)
- Crown Australian Celebrity Poker Challenge (2006-)
- Love Bytes (2003)
- Crash Palace (2001-2002)
